SPCWD FY2025 Rates Increase

The Board had reviewed the FY2025 Budget at the November 18, 2024, Board meeting. It was determined rates should be raised to meet the current operational expenses. The projected increase was provided on the December 1, 2024, billing statements along with notice of a Public Hearing starting at 6:00 PM immediately before the December 16, 2024, Board Meeting.

December 16th, 2024, during the Public Hearing, the Board presented and discussed with the public, providing past and current expenses vs revenue, that it was determined to be in the best interest of the District to raise rates by the projected increase provided on the billing statements. Lori Zeiser made the Resolution to increase the rates for FY2025, Paul Finco second, with all Board Members in favor of, effective January 1, 2025, the following rates will go into effect:

Drinking Water will increase by $15.30, to $57.30
Drinking Water Upgrade Project will remain at the flat rate of $15.00
Therefore, the Drinking Water total will be $72.30

Irrigation will go from $8.40 per acre, increase of $0.61 per acre, to $9.01
Therefore, the accounts with irrigation acres and new rate total:
2.5 Acres $22.53 / 5 Acre $45.05 / 7.5 Acres $67.58 / 10 Acres $90.10
